Volunteers
The US OPEN is looking for volunteers to serve during the tournament. This is a great opportunity to meet new people who come from all over the world and have great stories to share. Mary Vassar, the Executive Director of the USTA St. Louis District Tennis Association is the volunteer coordinator. Job Title: Player Assistant Volunteers
Goal of Position: To assist players during competition
Responsibilities: Assist players in getting their sports chair to and from their assigned court
Monitor 2-3 courts and respond to any needs required by the player or official (more water, balls, etc.)
Clean up courts between matches - make sure all trash (water bottles, tape, etc) is picked up
Training provided: Yes, a training session will be provided the week prior to the event
Time Frame: At least one 4 hour shift during the tournament
Qualifications:
Must be in good physical condition, a good people person and tennis literate
