6 Weeks Out

Marks the ITF six week cut off date for player registrations to be submitted for play in the September 1-6, 2009 US OPEN USTA Wheelchair Championships.
The International Tennis Federation and the United States Tennis Association have developed great templates and mechanisms to benefit players, tournament organizers and sponsors alike. The regulation, processes and procedures that delineate, organize and administer the governing bodies’ rules are dutifully followed.
However, the Open labors to accommodate reasonable player needs and requirements and strives to be flexible in its deadlines. Given the state of affairs around the globe with the economy, travel and security leading a list of conditions in flux, we realize that inclusive adjustments are a necessity by all.
Striking a balance that allows for compliance to regulations whilst remaining flexible continues to be our goal.
To that end, the 2009 US OPEN USTA Wheelchair Championships will continue to welcome additional players until such time as administration becomes too difficult.
